| Tim Bradshaw |
Guitar, Keyboards, Drums, Backing Vocals, etc. Tim had played with many fine acts, including Fat Lady Sings, Dog's Eye View, Tom Robinson, Tanita Tikaram, Nan Vernon, Fatima Mansions and currently for top ten songwriter David Gray. He worked like a dog on this album for which I will be eternally grateful - and he was giving up smoking at the time too! |

| Peter Bruntnell |
Guitar, Pedal Steel Guitar Peter Bruntnell is a singer/songwriter extraordinaire - his sublime third album Normal For Bridgewater is currently available on the Slow River label. Go and buy all his CDs immediately. Peter has an interesting slant on life - when he arrived for one session, rather than come into the studio, he dragged me into his car to chase a UFO over Epsom Downs... it turned out to be a plane. Now there's a true visionary for you |
|
| David Fisher |
Guitar, Vocals, Backing Vocals Nothing to say about this guy... |
|
| Martin Gregory |
Drums, Percussion Martin has sadly hung up his sticks for the moment to mastermind New Scientist's website. His impression of Jason King is something to be seen at parties. He has devoted his life to the study of fine wines and the oeuvre of star of stage and screen, Bruce Forsyth. |
|
| Dermot Lynch |
Bass, Acoustic Guitar Dermot, like Tim used to be in Fat Lady Sings and Dogs Eye View. He has also played with David Gray, Hepburn, and David McAlmont. Dermot also played bass on my first two singles - "Valentine" and "Every Precious Second". |
|
| Clive Nicholson |
Trumpet Clive directed and edited videos for my songs Valentine, "Liberty Street", "Save The World", and "Live at The Mean Fiddler Acoustic Room". He is a fine fellow. |
|
| Martyn Swain |
Bass Martyn used to play bass with my favourite band of the eighties The Waterboys, as well as World Party, Aimee Mann and more recently Julian Lennon. I met him when he was running a much-missed acoustic music club, "Dreamhouse" at "The Water Rats" in London. Having him play on the album was a special thrill - and I felt honoured to pour salt on the glass of red wine that he emptied into our landlord's carpet within minutes of arriving at the session... see picture. (Sorry Martyn!) |
|
| Rob Telford |
Bass I've been making music with Rob for longer than I care to remember - he was on stage with me at my first gig at school while people threw chairs and shouted many judicious pieces of advice that maybe we should have heeded. Rob is webmaster of the universe and, of, course, designs this here site. |
|
| Guy Watson |
Drums Guy played in my live band on and off for quite a while. He plays the drum loop on "Dreamcatcher" on the album - this is the same loop re-sampled off the version on the "Valentine" CD, but running at a different speed. (You wanted to know that didn't you?) He used to play with a very late version of The Bay City Rollers called La Rox who toured Japan until one of them (not Guy) overdosed and they all had to come home. |
|
| We don't have a picture of Guy at the moment, so here's a shot of the studios's track sheets for the album instead... :-) | ||
| Chris Watts |
Guitar, Backing Vocals Chris has been playing with me now for many years in various recording and live outfits. His knowledge of guitar music and dedication to his Telecaster humbles me. He has his own band "Lop Lop" which records and gigs far too infrequently. |
|
| Danny Williams |
Double Bass Danny was playing in Peter Bruntnell's band at the time of the recording, but previously played in Black Grape. He has recently joined St Etienne. |
